Reverse Osmosis System Plus Remineraliser with a Pump
A small percentage of UK households don’t have sufficient pressure to run a normal non-pumped Reverse Osmosis system.
Pressure is measured in BAR.
1 Bar is the force needed to raise water through pipes up to a height of 10 meters.
1 Bar pressure would fill a 1 litre jug in about 7 seconds (via standard 15mm pipes).
Non pumped RO machines need 3 Bar operating pressure – but this is playing it safe.
To have a Reverse Osmosis filter system you simply need to make sure you have a reasonably healthy flow rate (which is the same thing as reasonable pressure) in your property – or at least from the pipe you’ll be taking the water supply from.
This is usually the same pipe that goes into your kitchen sink cold water tap. (Bear in mind that the pressure might be too low at the top of your house while it’s OK in the kitchen).
You don’t have to measure your BAR. Instead a simple way to measure your water pressure is to turn your kitchen cold water tap on full.
If the flow seems vigorous and you get small splashes while standing near the sink then you probably have good enough pressure. (If you’re getting splashed standing a few feet away then that is high pressure!).
Think You Might Have Low Pressure?
Most property owners already have a sense of whether their pressure is low.
Reverse Osmosis filters need reasonable water pressure to work.
If you suspect you have low pressure then it is best to opt for a pumped RO system straight away.
This is because retro-fitting a small pump to a system that’s already fitted is not as easy as you’d think.
Getting it right is quite complex – if you want to do it safely!
For example; you need to have a setup whereby the pump turns on/off at the correct times ie has the right types of switches.
It all needs to be properly wired up in a specific way or it can damage the RO filter – and could even cause a fire!)
It’s not as simple as retro-fitting an aquarium type pump.
This is why any good water filter supplier would say that, basically, if you buy a non-pumped RO system and then realise you need a pump, it is better to simply remove it – hopefully negotiate a refund from your seller – and buy an RO already fitted with a pump.

As you may already know, Reverse Osmosis filters are usually expensive. You can easily pay £400 plus.
However, even though our filters are of a higher quality than many on the market, we are offering them to you here at a Special Offer price of £345 – See Today’s Special Offer at the top of the screen.
Why are These Cheaper than Others on the Market?
Well for a start some people are simply overcharging. They are using the classic sales approach that “if it’s expensive it must be good”.
Yes, Reverse Osmosis is good. But it doesn’t need to be that expensive.
Plus we only sell on the internet. Unlike other retailers, we don’t have to pay for expensive shop rents and rates. And we don’t add unnecessary “stages” to our RO systems.
Replacing the Filters
Like all water filters, you will need to replace the filters on the system periodically to ensure maximum performance.
The five main filter cartridges need to be changed every six months (Cost £47).
We will send you a reminder every 6 months to change these filters.
